P.M. Glycol


Propylene glycol methyl ether (abbreviated as PGME) is preferred in certain cleaning applications with its low toxicity, surface resistance and fast evaporation.

Propylene glycol methyl ether is used as an intermediate in manufacturing industry, as a carrier in printing inks for flexo and silk screen printing, and as a solvent in pesticides and  livestock farming. Propylene glycol methyl ether, is used in solvent based paints, in household and industrial cleaning, and printing and packaging industries.

Areas of Usage

It is widely used in formulations of bakery products. It is used in flavor and frangrance industry, in medicines and cosmetics. Its form in technical quality is an important substance for polyurethane plastics and polyester resins. It is one of the most important substances used in electronic cigarette liquids. It is used in the tobacco industry and for the lubrication of freezing machines in the food industry. It is used as a preservative in mouthwashes, toothpastes, ointments and cosmetic emulsions, as a solvent for fragrances (essences), it is used in antifreeze, and in the production of artificial smoke used in entertainment venues, meetings, weddings and film industry.
